Title: Pray without ceasing
Post by: me again on February 10, 2015, 09:37:45 AM
The Apostle Paul said to pray without ceasing. As a young man, I always wondered how to do that because we can't talk to the Lord all the time (a one-way conversation)... so... how do we pray without ceasing? That question was partially answered when someone explained that doing acts of charity is a form of prayer... so... prayer can be an action.

My most recent revelation is that silently acknowledging His presence throughout our day -- whenever we think of Him -- for the rest of our lives -- is a form of praying without ceasing.

Greetings me again!

IMO, Paul meant to pray regularly without ceasing.  Also, at any other time, day or night.  When things come up and you need the reinforcement and the strength of the Lord dwelling within you, to pray to Him silently about it.  No matter when.

When I was first seeking an understand of faith,  I came across this.  I had remember one Pastor who loved to pray, and it was his highlight of the Sunday Service.  He would say a sentence, wait 30 seconds while he thought about the next sentence.. speak that...  wait under 30 seconds...  how irritating for this preteen or what ever age I was..

I was sure someone should show him that 'pray with our ceasing :)

I do understand it rather different now.
