Religion & Theology / Religion - Religious - And Law

Religion - Religious - And Law

There are more Religions in the world now than there have ever been - There are hundreds of different Religions in India and Africa.

There are several hundred Religions in the United States - Most people do - {NOT} - permit their Religion to interfere with their sinning - Even if they desired otherwise - Religion could - {NOT} - keep them from sinning.

Although Religious sinners are restrained from certain immoral habits - there is - {NO} - cure for sin.

Religious endeavors frequently lead to - {Self Righteousness} - which is as much sin as is adultery or drunkenness or stealing.

Sin is human weakness - sin is a - {Short-coming} - missing the mark - But what is that mark??? - What does it mean to come short?

Every intelligent soul - whether Religious or not - acknowledges that the only adequate - perfect code of ethics - by which a thought or word or deed can be judged right or wrong - is the Law - which was given to Israel 3500 years ago - the Ten Commandments.

NO intelligent soul will think of challenging the perfection of that perfect Law - The one who would accept that challenge to perfectly obey that - {Perfect Law} - would display profound Stupidity.

The Greatest of all the Commandments contained in the Law was stated by Christ - the only One who ever perfectly kept all Ten of them - {Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart - might - strength and soul - and thy neighbor as thyself}.

If this is the Greatest of - {ALL} - the Commandments - and sin is the Transgression of the Law - then the Greatest sin is to transgress the - {Greatest Commandment}.

{All are guilty before God} - {By the Law is the knowledge of sin} - {By the Law let every mouth be stopped and let all the world become guilty before God}.

All religions - {except one} - followed by men during the past 6000 years - were established by a Very Religious Creature who is accused of deceiving the whole world - He is called - {the Prince of the world} - {the god of this age} - It is truthfully said concerning him that he is transformed into an angel of light.

The one exception is the Religion that God gave to Israel at the time He gave His people the Ten Commandments - {Thou shalt} - {Thou shalt not} - was the program for Israel for 1500 years.

It was under that Law that the - {Sinless Christ} - was made - He came to earth and lived among His people - He lived their Religion and kept the - {Perfect Law} - without offending in one point.

In spite of what Christ did - His own people had Him nailed to the cross - They were - {Religious Law Keepers} - and they were zealous concerning the Law - but they killed their - {Messiah} - {the Prince of Life}.

Note what became of their Religion:

{Colossians 2:14} - Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances - that was against us - which was contrary to us - and took it out of the way - nailing it to His cross.

{Galatians 3:13} - Christ hath redeemed us from the - {Curse] - of the law - being made a - {Curse} - for us - for it is written - {Curseth} - is every one that hangeth on a tree.

{Hebrews 7:19} - For the Law made - {Nothing} - perfect - but the bringing in of the better hope did - by the which we draw nigh unto God.

{Romans 10:4} - For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Christ is - {The End OF The Law} - for righteousness.

The Law and Religion were inseparably united - The Lord Jesus Christ on the cross brought Law and Religion to an end.

God’s declaration is - the Law has been abolished - sin has been put away - Christ hath abolished death - {2 Timothy 1:10}.

The sacrifices of shed blood - under the Law - took care of the sins of the Lawbreakers until Christ went to Calvary to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

Christ died to save - {Religious sinners from Religion} - as well as from sin - Christ has removed - {ALL} - Religion from His spiritual program - declaring that Christ Jesus is - {Our Righteousness} - {1 Corinthians 1:30} - Christ's Righteousness is - {ALL} - that is required to receive your Passport to Heaven.

There is - {NOT} - one piece of Righteousness in Religion - Joining a Denominational church - {Never} - saved any sinner.

There will be - {NO} - Religious people in Heaven - Christ is the end of Religion for Righteousness to every one that believeth.

Christ is - {Our Righteousness} - Christ is the world’s urgent need to avoid the - {Second Death} - Believers are accepted and complete in Christ - That's what the Father said.

 Receive Christ as your Saviour right now by believing by - {FAITH} - {1 Corinthians 15:1-4} - Remember, tomorrow is - {NOT} - promised.

Religion & Theology / "but I am a good person"

You will say "but I am a good person" or "But he is such a good person". You are wrong on both counts. You are NOT a good person......and I am not a good person... and neither is he or she a good person. The Bible says Ro 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

"So much of religion seems to be about fear:
 fear of going to hell;
 fear of having bad theology;
 fear of not satisfying your end of the bargain so God will favor you and bless you;
 fear of others finding out how much you're not really like the person you project and pretend to be;
 fear of trusting your own inner guidance and fear of thinking for yourself;
 fear of not upholding the expectations of your religious sub-culture;
 fear of sexuality;
 fear of people who are different;
 fear of the world;
 fear of messing up;
 fear of not being good enough... spiritual enough... godly enough.

 I don't know which is worse - the way religion makes us afraid to die, or the way it makes us afraid to live."

Wrongly dividing the Word is rough on snake handlers. The bad thing is that the world is laughing at him and the word of God. It is just as bad to try to follow Israel's so-called great commission with it's signs following and water baptism for remission of sins, sell all, cast out demons, drink any deadly thing, kingdom gospel etc., etc. Kind of like believing in Al Gore's global warming.

Religion & Theology / I wonder...

I wonder how Adam felt, seeing most of his offspring denying God and living lives of corruption? Adam lived 930 years, and then it was only about 600 until the flood, where everyone but Noah had turned their back on God. Don't you think it was pretty much headed in that direction before Adam died? I would say it vexed his very soul to see his progeny denying the very one that Adam had walked and had fellowship with.
 (Noah was born only about 120 years after Adam died)

JUST A THINK ABOUT IT: Will you embrace the full meaning of Christmas? Jesus didn't die just so you could go to heaven. He came to give you life - His life; an abundant life free from guilt, condemnation, and slavery to both sins and religion. He came to bring a grace revolution to the world and that is exactly what He accomplished. Now, that's a reason to have a Merry Christmas!  And a Blessed NEW YEAR, as you rest in these truths.

Religion & Theology / 100% Sure You Will Go To Heaven ?

100% Sure You Will Go To Heaven ?

 If you were to die today, right now, are you 100% sure that you would go to Heaven, or do you have some doubt?
 Some people may answer this question with:

 * "I sure hope so."
 * "I am about 90% sure I will."
 * "No one can know for sure they will go to Heaven."
 * "I'm probably not good enough right now to go to Heaven."

 The Bible declares that you can “know”, for sure! The Bible says that it was written so that "ye may ‘know’ that ye have eternal life".

 What do you believe it takes to get to Heaven?
 Some may answer this question with:

 * Being a loyal church member.
 * Being good and kind to others.
 * Keeping God's laws.
 * Getting baptized in water.

 The above list is a list of good things to do. Those are all good works alright. However, according to the Bible, doing good works is NOT what it takes to get to Heaven! In Ephesians 2:8-9, the Bible says, "For by *grace* are ye saved through *faith*; and that NOT of yourselves: it is the gift of God: NOT of works, lest any man should boast." (emphasis mine)

 So what the Bible says it takes to get to Heaven?

 First you must realize that you ARE a sinner, we all are.
 Romans 3:10 says, "As it is written, There is 'none' righteous, no, not one:"

 The Bible refers to two deaths. The first death is the physical death. The Bible talks about the second death in Revelation 21:8 and it says, "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

 This list is speaking of one's *identity* not merely one's behavior. If a child of God tells a lie that does not change his "identity" from a child of God to a Liar. He is still a child of God that has told a lie but has not changed his identity form a child of God into a Liar.

 A liars lie because of their sinful identity(nature). Once you become a child of God, the Spirit of God resides within you and influences your behavior, you are no longer a sinner by nature or identity. After a caterpillar metamorphosis into beautiful butterfly he may go back to the mud and hang around with his worm buddies for awhile, but he remains a beautiful butterfly.

 Jesus paid the penalty of sin for us.
 Romans 5:8 says, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, *while we were yet sinners*, Christ died for us."

 Eternal life is a free gift.
 Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is *death*; but the 'gift of God' is *eternal life* through Jesus Christ our Lord."

 Romans 4:25 says: "Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

 This is the ‘gospel of Christ’ and what one must place their *faith* in to miss the lake of fire and spend eternal life with the Lord in Heaven forever. And of course "faith" is the conviction that something is true that we rely-on or trust-in and not merely intellectual understanding.

 Do you believe Jesus died to pay your sin debt, was buried and rose from the dead to give you the gift of eternal life? This is what is required to receive salvation.(1Cor. 15:1-4)

Religion & Theology / Q: What is the unpardonable sin?
« on: November 03, 2013, 04:03:37 PM »
Q: What is the unpardonable sin?

A: The phrase "unpardonable sin" refers to Matthew 12:31-32 when Jesus Christ said, "Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."

 When trying to understand any Bible passage, you have to always look at when it is spoken and to whom it is spoken. In this case, it is spoken to and applies to unbelieving Jews before Christ went to the cross, and before the Holy Spirit was given to believers. They were under the law of Moses, whereas today we are under grace. When we are saved, the Holy Spirit seals us (Ephesians 1:13-14). That was not the case with people before the cross. It makes no sense to try to apply that verse to Christians today who are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. In this present dispensation of grace, we are saved as soon as we believe the gospel. At that point, all of our sins, past, present, or future, are forgiven (Colossians 2:13 and 3:13). So the only thing that is unpardonable is unbelief.

Religion & Theology / ✞ Jesus Did NOT Just "Die for Our Salvation
« on: October 22, 2013, 05:19:08 PM »
✞ Jesus Did NOT Just "Die for Our Salvation.

 Christ is risen! But why did he rise from the dead?

 When I ask someone, "Why did Jesus die on the cross?" They readily reply to pay the penalty for my sins. But then when I ask, "Why was he resurrected?" I usually get a blank look. You know, the deer in the headlights look. There is usually a long period of silence. They seem to be thinking, “Is this a trick question?”

If you where shot with a bullet and you died but a doctor quickly remove the bullet in surgery. Would that me the solution to your problem? NO....your still dead! It would be a step in the right direction, half of the solution, but you would next immediately need resuscitation (restoration to life.) A dead mans greatest need is LIFE!

 The Bible says: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is *eternal life* through Jesus Christ our Lord." --Romans 6:23

 Most people know that Jesus *died for their sins* but don't know *Jesus also rose for their salvation*. This aspect of the biblical message is often neglected and overlooked. The emphasis is usually on the cross. In fact, the resurrection for many people (Even some preachers) doesn't figure into their understanding of salvation at all. Think about this a moment please....they are only placing their faith in 1/2 of the Gospel of Salvation. What they believe in is really not the gospel at all. One cant be saved by believing half the gospel.

 Let me ask you personally...did YOU come to Jesus merely to have your sins forgiven... or did you come to him for eternal life?

 You may ask, well were do I find forgiveness.

"In whom *we have*(past tense with continual action) redemption through his blood, *the forgiveness of sins*, according to the riches of his grace" --Eph. 1:7

 Paul makes it clear, if Jesus didn't rise from the dead "your faith" would be in vain(synonyms: futile, useless, pointless.)"

"And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and *YOUR faith* is also vain*.--1Cor.15:14 (emphasis mine)

 What is the Gospel message I MUST believe to be saved? So now Paul tells us the gospel (below) in the most concise terms as found any where in the scriptures the gospel message we must place our trust in to be saved.

 The Gospel of Salvation:
 1Corinthians 15:1-4
 1. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you *the gospel* which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
 2. *By which also ye are saved*, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
 3. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that *Christ died for our sins* according to the scriptures;
 4. And that *he was buried*, and that *he rose again* the third day according to the scriptures:

 To be saved, place your *faith* right now in Jesus, that he died to pay your sin debt in full, was buried and rose from the dead to give you the gift of eternal life. This is what is required to receive salvation. And of course “faith” is to have the conviction that something is true that we rely-on or trust-in. Also there is a prohibition against adding ‘anything’ to the gospel or taking anything away from the gospel.

Religion & Theology / ✞ Are Billions Going to Hell?
« on: October 18, 2013, 07:35:15 PM »

Are Billions Going to Hell?

 There are an estimated 7 billion people in the world. In the U.S., women live longer—81 years on average, 76 for men is the average life expectancy. Visit a cemetery sometime and you’ll be surprised how many people have died at a much younger age. 151,600 people die 'each day on average. Think about this for just a it even remotely possible you may be one of them?

 There are roughly 4,200 religions in the world today. Countless billions of people are trusting in their *religion* to save them instead of the Lord Jesus Christ. Surely, nine out of ten people in this wicked world are bound for a Godless, eternal hell because they have rejected the Lord Jesus and his sacrifice for mankind to save them. Is Jesus the only way to God? I will allow Jesus himself to answer this question for you.

 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: *no man* cometh unto the Father, but by me". --John 14:6

 We all must die and it’s guaranteed that were not going to escape death less Jesus returns for the church, the saved, from the punishment of hell! It’s only a matter OF TIME!

 Salvation is *NOT* found in any religion, but in a person—Jesus Christ! Are YOU ready to die and meet your maker today? Do you want to be ready? Jesus will not force himself on you. But he will save you no matter what you have done. Remember Jesus himself said no one comes to God but by him.

 If you've never trusted in Jesus as you personal Savior, please do so now. Please understand this from the Bible—all one's good deeds, clean living, keeping of God's commandments, water baptism, church membership, holy communion, penance, confirmation and praying are A ROAD TO HELL *if* you placed any trust in them to save you. It’s FAITH alone in Christ alone.

 Ephesians 2:8
 "For by grace are ye saved through *faith*; and that not of yourselves: it is the *gift of God*:"

 To be saved, place your *faith* in Jesus, that he died to pay your sin debt in full, was buried and rose from the dead to give you the gift of eternal life. This is what is required to receive salvation.

 1 Cor. 15:3,4
 3. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that *Christ died for our sins* according to the scriptures;
 4. And that *he was buried*, and that *he rose again* the third day according to the scriptures: [emphasis mine]

 1 Thess. 4:14
 "For if we *believe* that *Jesus died and rose again*, even so them also which sleep(died) in Jesus will God bring with him."

 Note Well: “To believe” or have "faith," is to have the conviction that something is true that we rely-on or trust-in and NOT just an intellectual understanding

« on: October 12, 2013, 01:26:43 PM »

 Have you believed 'another gospel?' Have you believed in a gospel in which Jesus Christ does not save you completely and forever? Have you believed in a gospel that teaches you that Jesus saves you, but you have to be baptized, you have to become a member of a certain church, you have to keep every sin confessed, or if you commit a sin after you are saved, then you lose your salvation? THEN YOU HAVE BELIEVED ANOTHER GOSPEL, MY FRIEND, AND POSSIBLY IN VAIN [without effecting salvation!]

 Paul said: ”But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed(Damnation!) --Galatians 1:8

 The apostle Paul wrote a whole book, Galatians, that dealt with this very thing, saying, if these things are true, “…then Christ is dead in vain” … “Christ is become of no effect unto you…” “You have believed in vain.” --Gal. 2:21, 5:4; I Cor. 15:2

 Friend, God wants you to understand the one true gospel. He wants you to know the gospel that teaches Jesus Christ alone can save you and save you completely and save you forever.

 Paul wrote: “For I am not ashamed of *the gospel of Christ*: for it is the power of God *unto salvation* to every one that *believeth*;...” --Romans 1:16

 The one true gospel (good news) is that Jesus alone does the saving. This is why Paul in I Cor. 15:1-4 says, “…I declare unto the gospel … that Christ dies for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” Do you see baptism in this gospel? Do you see membership in a certain church? Do you see keeping every sin confessed up? Do you see keeping from ever sinning again? No! Why? Because the Bible teaches that salvation is in what Jesus Christ alone did for us, not what we do in any measure!

 Again, listen to the Word of God! “…by his own blood he entered into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us] … By the which will we are sanctified [through] the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all … For by one offering [he] hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified … Neither is there salvation in any other … for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified … For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that {not of yourselves} it is the gift of God: not of works …” --Heb. 9:12, 10:10, 14; Acts 4:12; Gal. 2:16; Eph. 2:8, 9

 One is only truly saved when they come to the place where they *completely* quit trusting in themselves to get to Heaven and *completely* transfer all their trust for salvation to Jesus Christ on the basis of His work alone.

 Jesus shed His precious blood, died on a cross, was buried, and rose again 3 days later to save you and offers salvation as a gift to all who will "believe." And of course "to believe" is the conviction that something is true that we rely-on or trust-in and not mere intellectual understanding.

 Will you trust in Jesus and what he did to save you now?

Religion & Theology / Can I Just be a Good Person And Go To Heaven???

Can I Just be a Good Person And Go To Heaven???

"People are basically good", wrote a great poet, "it is only their behavior that lets them down."

 It is amazing to think that some people actually believe they are good enough to get into heaven. Perhaps it is because we read so much bad news in the papers about others that we are quick to conclude that by comparison we are superior, and so deserving of a place in eternity.

 The fact that the same person can think themself superior to others, whilst at the same time criticizing Christians for arrogance underlines one of the joys of living in a post-modern world. But how do we respond to the question, Why can’t I just be a good person? Isn’t it unfair of God to say that you can’t get into heaven unless you believe in Him, even though you have been a good person? Who does He think he is!

 It is NOT a question of being more *good than bad,* in order to qualify for eternal life. Jesus seems to define goodness in terms of being 'like God', and on that basis, NO ONE anywhere is good enough.

 However, ‘The Gospel’ is good news. The good news is that getting into heaven is first and foremost about forgiveness and receive spiritual life by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit ONLY indwell those that are saved...and those that are not saved are spiritually dead!!!! Christians can be sure that they are going to heaven, not because 'they' are so good, but because they have received forgiveness of all their sins and indwelt by the Holy Spirit. It really that easy. Its a free gift!

 Do you want it? Here is what you must do to get it. But remember it is NOT just ‘forgiveness of sin’ but the ‘imputation of spiritual life’ by virtue of Christ resurrection. He died forgiving your sins and he rose from the dead to impart eternal life.

 Do you believe Jesus died to pay your sin debt, was buried and rose from the dead to give you the gift of eternal life? This is what is required to receive salvation.(1Cor. 15:3,4)

 1 Thess: 4:14
 "For if we believe that *Jesus died and rose again* (To save you), even so them also which sleep(died) in Jesus will God bring with him." [Emphasis for clarity]

 Please place your faith in Jesus and what he did for your salvation now while you still have time. And of course faith is the conviction that something is true that we rely-on or trust-in

 Best to place your faith in Christ now and his sacrafice for you while it is fresh on your mind!

« on: October 03, 2013, 11:01:46 AM »

You CAN NOT under any circumstance, LOSE your salvation.

 Losing your salvation is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE.

 Romans 8:1 There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION to them which are IN CHRIST JESUS, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

 In order to be IN CHRIST JESUS, one has to BELIEVE the GOSPEL:

 1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you THE GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

 1 Corinthians 15:2 BY WHICH ALSO YE ARE SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, UNLESS YE HAVE BELIEVED IN VAIN.

 1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS according to the scriptures;

 1 Corinthians 15:4 And that HE WAS BURIED, AND ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY according to the scriptures:

 The MOMENT you BELIEVE the gospel you will be BAPTIZED by the holy Spirit into Jesus Christ BODY:

 1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are WE ALL BAPTIZED INTO ONE BODY, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

 Through this "spiritual baptism" that takes place upon the moment of belief, we now become MEMBERS of the BODY OF CHRIST, which is THE CHURCH:

 1 Corinthians 12:27 Now YE ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST, and members in particular.

 Ephesians 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

 The HOLY SPIRIT comes along and does something to sorta "seal the deal"

 Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, YE WERE SEALED WITH THAT HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE,

 1. You heard the word of truth, THE GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.

 2. You either BELIEVE 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 or you DO NOT BELIEVE 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.

 3. Those that BELIEVE 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, are BAPTIZED by the SPIRIT into Jesus Christ BODY, which is THE CHURCH, and you are then SEALED by the HOLY SPIRIT that BAPTIZED you into HIS BODY.

 This is how you become "IN CHRIST JESUS" of Romans 8:1

 Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are IN CHRIST JESUS, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

 The reason there is NO CONDEMNATION is because of you being SEALED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.

 Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby YE ARE SEALED UNTO THE DAY OF REDEMPTION.

 2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, HAVING THIS SEAL, THE LORD KNOWETH THEM THAT ARE HIS. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

 2 Corinthians 1:21 Now he which stablisheth us with you IN CHRIST, and hath anointed us, is God;

 2 Corinthians 1:22 Who HATH ALSO SEALED US, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

 If you BELIEVE that you can somehow lose your salvation, then you are struggling with a sin issue. You feel that because of sin in your life, God will condemn you. What you fail to realize is the SIN ISSUE was settled 2000 years ago at Calvary. There is NOT ONE SIN being held to you today, ALL SINS were FORGIVEN at Calvary.

Religion & Theology / Some Christian religious groups...
« on: August 19, 2013, 07:50:28 PM »
Some Christian religious groups, after presenting salvation as a free gift of God’s grace, turn right around and teach new believers that their continuing relationship with the Lord now depends on their performance. If they don’t live holy, go to church, read their Bibles, and pay tithes, etc., then the Lord won’t bless them or answer their prayers.

 That kind of thinking will block a person from receiving the love of God. When their performance falls short, and it always does, their own hearts will condemn them. They just can’t believe God could love them. The truth is that God’s love for us has nothing to do with our performance. He loves us because He is love, not because we are lovely.
