Religion & Theology / Re: Where Is The Gospel?
« on: June 11, 2013, 05:20:44 PM »
The gospel is not to ask Jesus into your heart. The gospel is to trust that Christ died for your sins. The gospel is not to walk the aisle for Jesus but to acknowledge that Jesus Christ walked up Calvary’s hill and was nailed to the cross in your place.

Crosses are for criminals and you are the criminal. Your crimes are against a holy and righteous God. So Christ took your place, and died in your stead on the cross. You need, not only A saviour, but THE SAVIOUR, the Lord Jesus Christ. Are you saved, or are you just religious but LOST?

Salvation is not to pray through at the alter but to simply trust that Christ got through to God for you, in your behalf. You don’t have to go to the alter to be saved, you have to trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour to be saved.

That is false because it is incomplete. Believing a set of facts does not save. One has to come to repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Acts 20:21
Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ask Your Bible Questions Here!!! / Re: 1 or 2 demonaics in the tombs?

Please explain why it doesn't matter.

I recently took a theology class for the first time. The professor is a doctor of theology and he said, "It doesn't really matter if there are mistakes or contradictions in the bible because it's not going to affect my faith." Zaph, when you say that "it really doesn't matter," is that the context of your statement?

You need to run from that professor if he believes there are mistakes or contradictions.

The Mat passage says there was two so there was two. The other two passages are not in contradiction but only giving part of the account. When I give my testimony many times I leave something out, but it does not make it wrong only incomplete.

5
Why would you say the 2 of you?
Agreed as you are the one spreading the false teachings.

6
That is very hard to do since I don't know what they say until I click on the thread.

Also.. I would not be saying anything if it was contained to one or two discussions. But it's the same thing in almost every discussion.

Although I don't know exactly why some of the threads have been locked I can make a good educated guess.

I thought my suggestion might be too deep for you. So here is another. Start your own thread and only read it.

7
Please... why don't the 2 of you carry this on in private. No one really wishes to read the same content over and over and over again upteen different threads.

Zaph this is going to be difficult to understand so please pay close attention. . DON'T READ THE POSTS! DUH!

Breaking news - When God wants to communicate, he does it the same way we do - with words! And guess what? He knows how to make sure they're written down too! Imagine that, an educated God! Too many people claim to be speaking for God, when in fact, none of them are. Religion is the biggest racket in the world!

Hebrews 4:12 KJV - For the word of God is quick , and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Here is what God says;
Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Here is how to know where you are headed.
1John 2:3,4
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

No repentance no faith, no faith no salvation.

For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.... Romans 12:9- 21 ♥ ♥ ♥

Those things can only happen if we repent and come to faith.

Religious Lie: "God only paid for sins until the next time you sin."
Forgiveness is available until we get to eternity and then our eternal fate is sealed. Right now, people are free to sin and repent; but there is no forgiveness of sin for the damned in hell.

JUST A THINK ABOUT IT: Will you embrace the full meaning of Christmas? Jesus didn't die just so you could go to heaven. He came to give you life - His life; an abundant life free from guilt, condemnation, and slavery to both sins and religion. He came to bring a grace revolution to the world and tha
