What book of the bible?
« on: June 08, 2007, 06:10:11 PM »
Just for the sake of fun, I'm posing the question: If you were to be stuck on a desert island and only had one book of the Bible you could have with you, which one would you choose?

A second question: Would that book be the same or a different one if you knew there would be people there you could evangelize?

Obviously there is no "correct" answer, just curious as to what folks would choose, and why.

Thanks for responding! :orange:

Romans on both accounts.
John 14:6 Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except by me."
Sometimes the Gospel is not presented clearly enough for the non-elect to reject it.

Given what knowledge I have of the bible and on different subjects, I would have to say revelations for evangilizing and matthew if it were just me.

The book of Revelation - both accounts.
"So then, stand firm and hold to the traditions :o which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter" (2 Thessalonians 2:15).

JUST A THINK ABOUT IT: Will you embrace the full meaning of Christmas? Jesus didn't die just so you could go to heaven. He came to give you life - His life; an abundant life free from guilt, condemnation, and slavery to both sins and religion. He came to bring a grace revolution to the world and tha
