Thank goodness.  I was worried that the world might implode upon itself if two me agains came into contact with one another.  You know, one of those time warp paradox things...

I saw someone at degreeinfo plugging the list, so thought I might get some leads and/or pointers for getting an adjunct job.

It looks like things are going well with the UOP opportunity.  they must be hurting for english teachers in the Raleigh area...

Only 875 per class, but class is only once per week, for 5 weeks.  So that isn't too bad.  Not that I have the job or anything, but everything seemed to go good in my interviews.  I was expecting the first one, but not the second one so quickly.  She almost threw me off.  But I rebounded pretty well. haha

I've been following your situation very closely, even though I never commented.  I kept assuming that you want to teach English -- am I correct??? If that's what you want to teach, then I think that you'll get snapped up because there aren't too many people with that kind of a teaching degree.  My Masters is in CJ, which is significantly easier and, thus, more plentiful.  It's the old "supply & demand" thing.

Actually, there are myriads of english teachers out there.  I do have a couple of promising leads for adjuncts and a few fulltime situations are still possible, too.

Exactly.  Plus, if you can get those kinds of online teaching jobs, then it can become very lucrative.  However, it seems that schools are starting to require Doctorates for many of those kinds of cushy jobs.  For example, Northeastern University is letting go of instructors who only have Masters degrees and Northcentral University is no longer hiring adjuncts who only have Masters degrees.  They are requiring instructors to have terminal degrees e.g. they must have doctorates in their field of study.  IMO this is a sign of things to come.

JUST A THINK ABOUT IT: Will you embrace the full meaning of Christmas? Jesus didn't die just so you could go to heaven. He came to give you life - His life; an abundant life free from guilt, condemnation, and slavery to both sins and religion. He came to bring a grace revolution to the world and tha
