Jesus and profanity
« on: October 18, 2008, 03:27:57 PM »
Had an interesting conversation with a student at Grace College, Winona Lake, IN.

He claims one of his professors said Jesus called the money changers He ran out of the temple SOB's.  He claimed the professor proved it to him by showing the words in the original NT Gk.

However, the student couldn't pass along the "lesson" to me.

Has anyone else every heard of such a stupid, preposterous assertion?

LOL

I find it highly unlikely that Jesus was cursing when He's the one who told us not to curse by heaven because it's His throne and not to cuss by the earth because it's His footstool. :snicker:
"So then, stand firm and hold to the traditions :o which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter" (2 Thessalonians 2:15).

"If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?"

JUST A THINK ABOUT IT: Will you embrace the full meaning of Christmas? Jesus didn't die just so you could go to heaven. He came to give you life - His life; an abundant life free from guilt, condemnation, and slavery to both sins and religion. He came to bring a grace revolution to the world and tha
