Pro 26:3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool's back.

I am personally against prison sentences and hold to biblical principles for criminal punishment. All prisons do is house those who do criminal acts at the tax payers expense and those who end up there have about a 60 to 80 percent recidivism rate. They seldom rehabilitate and with the high returns it is clear they are not sufficient punishment.

The bible calls for the rod, repayment, or the death penalty depending on the crime. I am in full support for such instead of prison. I will not post any links to caning practices (using the rod) but each can Google under "caning videos" and I suggest you do so before you respond. I see nothing wrong with this practice if carried out under a judicial system. What are your thoughts on this? Do you feel the rod is not Christian and why or is it of God and should be used? Again I suggest that you Google caning videos and see the results of using a rod.

Isaiah 48:18,Oh that you had paid attention to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

Corporal punishment was used in North America by the the European Americans. Caning and stocks are common examples. There is nothing new under the sun.
"So then, stand firm and hold to the traditions :o which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter" (2 Thessalonians 2:15).

Religious Lie: "God only paid for sins until the next time you sin."
Forgiveness is available until we get to eternity and then our eternal fate is sealed. Right now, people are free to sin and repent; but there is no forgiveness of sin for the damned in hell.

JUST A THINK ABOUT IT: Will you embrace the full meaning of Christmas? Jesus didn't die just so you could go to heaven. He came to give you life - His life; an abundant life free from guilt, condemnation, and slavery to both sins and religion. He came to bring a grace revolution to the world and tha
