Lights in the expanse of the sky - day four
« on: June 26, 2012, 08:47:25 AM »
Hey guys, here's one for you to do a little head scratching over!

On day one, God said, "Let there be light," and the evening and morning was the first day.

On day two, God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters," and the evening and there was morning was the second day.

On day three, God said, "Let the land produce vegetation," and there was evening and morning was the third day.

On day four, God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years," and there was morning and evening was the fourth day.

Please explain for me how there could be three evenings and mornings that could possibly take place, when the sun moon and stars were not "created" until the fourth day?

IMO, it clearly reveals at the time of the first day when God established light out of the darkness, He RESTORED the previous visable existence of the sun, moon and stars, created long before the six day creation began. After God cleared away what was logically a cataclysmic thick covering of smoke, dust, vocanic ash and possible meteor strike.

What are your thoughts about it?

I just take it as it reads. Light existed before God created our sun and stars. Since He is the light of the world we don't have to have a sun to have light.

Rev_21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

The unapproachable light of God, recorded in 1 Tim.6:16 is, IMO. what the light was God brought with Him He referred to as Day One.  It was not the sun, however, which He did not restore until the fourth day.  Meaning the darkness that existed had to have been so thick, the sunlight could not penetrate it at all until He cleared it away so it could once again perform the purpose He originally created it for.

Forgiveness is available until we get to eternity and then our eternal fate is sealed. Right now, people are free to sin and repent; but there is no forgiveness of sin for the damned in hell.

JUST A THINK ABOUT IT: Will you embrace the full meaning of Christmas? Jesus didn't die just so you could go to heaven. He came to give you life - His life; an abundant life free from guilt, condemnation, and slavery to both sins and religion. He came to bring a grace revolution to the world and tha
