Re: Old Testament

We need to keep in mind that God does two things with the Israelites. He protects them, and He chastises them. When he told them not to spare any, it was for a good reason that we need to trust. 'All souls belong to God'. The deeper that sinks in, the easier it becomes for us to accept His will without question. He is the potter, we're the clay.

The simple answer to the abortion question is, No.  :)

I told you. Your answer is in verse 18
Kill their babies (v16) to teach us not to go after their abominations (v18)?  :o
"So then, stand firm and hold to the traditions :o which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter" (2 Thessalonians 2:15).

Me again. The fact that you choose not to believe the word of God does not negate it. It shows that you need to repent. Back to the OP do you believe that abortion is ever justified by God or is it always murder and sin?

Your mockery of your sin is spoken of.

That is your choice. I simply do not take anyone's sin as funny including my own. Making a mockery of the things of God is blasphemy and never funny. On this issue from what I gather you support abortion, at least in part. The bible never does so to support what God does not means we stand against God.

LOL -- No, I don't support abortion. I simply asked you why God commanded the Jews to kill women and children (and babies). You still haven't answered the question.  :)

Deuteronomy 20:16-18

16 But of the cities of these people, which the Lord thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:

17 But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee:

18 That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the Lord your God.

You say it was God's commandment.
Why do you question God?
Or is this about "saved"?

Song of Moses - (not to you personally)

Deu 32:6
Do ye thus requite (question) the LORD,
O foolish people and unwise?
Is not He thy Father that hath bought thee?
hath He not made thee,
and established thee?

Goes along with what I said in my earlier post.

I told you 3 times and you rejected it. Verse 18 is the answer.

Possible Answer -

Because He foreknew what would happen if they didn't follow His will.

When a child asks his parent "why," is the child questioning the authority or wisdom of his parent? No, of course not.  Similarly, if God orders the killing of everyone in a village (to include babies), asking "why" is a legitimate question that does not challenge the authority or wisdom of the Lord.  :)

JUST A THINK ABOUT IT: Will you embrace the full meaning of Christmas? Jesus didn't die just so you could go to heaven. He came to give you life - His life; an abundant life free from guilt, condemnation, and slavery to both sins and religion. He came to bring a grace revolution to the world and tha
