Learn some TRUTH
« on: April 18, 2013, 02:20:54 PM »

When you take words from a parable, you need to use the whole parable.

Example:

In Matthew 24 Jesus is talking about Daniel's 70th week and he says,

V 32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

V 33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

V 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."

Jesus tells them about the signs that will be happening in the heavens and the earth during the 70th week.

"THIS GENERATION" is the generation that sees the signs come to pass.

Regardless of if a generation is 20 years, 40 years or 70 years it doesn't matter because the 70th week is only 7 years long.

When these signs start to show, it is this generation that will not pass till all things be fulfilled.

Jesus was not referring to the generation living during his time but rather the generation that sees the signs of the tribulation come about. That is when "THIS GENERATION" starts.

This generation cannot start until the signs start to show just as Jesus said in the parable.
"...to make all men see"(Ephesians 3:9)

We don't change God's message -- His message changes us.

I agree that you are on track with this understanding.
Isaiah 48:18,Oh that you had paid attention to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

Forgiveness is available until we get to eternity and then our eternal fate is sealed. Right now, people are free to sin and repent; but there is no forgiveness of sin for the damned in hell.

JUST A THINK ABOUT IT: Will you embrace the full meaning of Christmas? Jesus didn't die just so you could go to heaven. He came to give you life - His life; an abundant life free from guilt, condemnation, and slavery to both sins and religion. He came to bring a grace revolution to the world and tha
