The METHOD of the gospel -1 Corinthians 15. That text includes the truth of Christ's death...his burial...and his resurrection from the dead.

The MESSAGE of the gospel is in 2 Corinthians 5:18 - 21. It's there that Paul explains to us what happened to the sins that were placed upon our Savior, and the wonderful news that God is no longer imputing those sins unto the sinners.

The MECHANICS of the Gospel Romans 3: 20 - 28
How is it that Christ's death, burial, and resurrection can accomplish justification for a wrath-worthy individual, a righteousifying of that individual?

We find that the model that produces righteous-ifying is divided into three different sections all working together.

 Romans 3: 21 -24 justified by grace.
 Romans 3: 25 -26 justified by blood.
 Romans 3: 27- 31 justified by faith.

Let me ask you a question. Are you justified by your grace? Are you justified by your blood? Don't think he's changing course in mid-stream. You're not justified by your faith. That comes as a surprise to many folks. You're justified by the faith of God.

The component we'll examine today is the justification by grace part we find in verses 21 through 24. Having dispelled all of man's self-defense pleas, Paul makes this startling statement in verse 20: "Therefore by the deeds of the law (or according to your law-keeping) there shall no flesh be justified (or declared righteous) in his (God's) sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin."

Verse 21 "BUT NOW" has to be the biggest two letter word statement found in all of scripture. Whenever you see the "but now" in Paul's epistles, sit up and take special notice because "BUT NOW" let's us know that a change has taken place.

"BUT NOW"means something different is happening. The words "BUT
NOW" moves us from one situation to a different situation. In other words, at one point in time something was true. "BUT NOW" something else is true which leads us to ask the question, what is it that Paul wants us to know. is different now from what used it to be?

Read on. "BUT NOW"the righteousness of God (apart) without the law is manifested, (made obvious) being witnessed by the law and the prophets."
Could any man be just by law-keeping? No! Then, what does he mean "But now apart from law-keeping?"

Israel was under a contract that called for their perfect law-keeping for their righteousness. "Give us this law and we'll do every bit of it!" (Deut. 6:25 and three other places in scripture.) The most astounding statement was when they said, "IF by doing all of the commandments, all of the time, never breaking one will be our righteousness in your eyes." What man can think he can do that? And, they thought they could.

Religious man thinks that he can today. "I've certainly got more points than my neighbor." "I've got more points than the guy who is not even going to church at all." So they think there is some obvious difference that God is going to consider them a prize package because they're living up to certain rules and regulations they set for themselves; a moral code that perhaps they grew up by, a moral code that they may have learned in their church. "We don't do the naughty nine, we avoid the filthy five, the dirty dozen, but the other people are getting involved with all these things." You've heard all the sayings. "Turn or Burn," "Try or Fry," "Toil or Boil."

We could look at the righteousness of God in the sense of righteousness being an attribute of God, God's righteous character is part of God's glory. God is perfectly righteous in Himself. God never deviates from His own perfectly right standard. We know that nothing has ever changed about God's righteous character so Paul does not have God's attribute of righteousness in mind in this verse when he says "BUT NOW."

"BUT NOW the righteousness of God apart from the law is manifested." God has provided for man what man desperately lacks God's very own perfect righteousness.
And, we should notice something else here.
The Gentiles had developed their own standard. It wasn't the Law of Moses, but it was a standard nonetheless. In verse 21 it says "BUT NOW the righteousness of God. without law (without the word the, without rule-keeping, period) is manifested." no matter whether it's the Law of Moses or any other rule-keeping list that you might bring about is the point that Paul is making here. Paul is simply saying that God's righteousness is now being manifested apart from the principle of rule-keeping. What Christ did for us at Calvary doesn't make you measure up to God's rightness. You have to be righteous-ified. That comes by grace. through the blood of Christ through Christ's faithfulness, and we're going to find out your faith in those three components.

Did you know that God told us Who are Apostle is and that we should follow him as a pattern?

Rom 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
Rom 11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
1Ti 2:7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
2Ti 1:11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
1Ti 1:16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
Eph 3:2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:

✞ Who is Jesus?

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life as He walked among men, demonstrated the authority and power of God in works and speech, died on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day, and is now seated at the right hand of God having accomplished all that is necessary for man's salvation.

If you will place your faith in Jesus, his death to pay for your sins and his ressurection from the tomb to provide you with eternal life he will save you.

Truth which reaches the ears but fails to penetrate the heart and influence the actions is irrelevant, meaningless, and a waste of time. Believe with all the heart that Jesus sacrafice is the only way to receive eternal life now and He promises to save you.

"For if we *believe* that *Jesus died and rose again*, even so them also which sleep [Died] in Jesus will *God bring with him*.[To heaven](Emphasis added for clarity)

Health wealth and prosperity....seems the apostle Paul knew none of it....considering he was given 13 books of the bible (Romans-Philemon) to write from direct revelation of the heavenly ascended Lord Jesus Christ as our doctrine for today...something is not right about the miracles for money ministry...just saying

2 Tim. 4:2-5.... SOUND DOCTRINE!
In the text, Paul is writing his last letter to Timothy. He had labored long and hard in the work of the Lord. He had suffered many hardships as a soldier of the cross. Much of his ministry was spent in jail. Yet he did not quit, or even seemed discouraged. He counted it a joy, not only to live for Christ, but to suffer, and even die for Him. Paul was a man who lived by faith, not by sight. He knew not only what he was doing, but where he was going. He held on to the promises of God, and his confidence could not be shaken. "Burn out" was not in his vocabulary. God gave him the message and then gave him the strength to proclaim it. This Gospel was too glorious to give up, and too rewarding to squander.

This same Gospel is given to us today, and just as glorious and rewarding to us as it was to Paul. A gospel of this magnitude should be proclaimed. What are you doing with it? Are you claiming or preaching another Gospel? We are responsible for the Gospel given to us by OUR apostle, Paul. We are without excuse. Get into the right Bible, (KJB), the right Gospel and proclaim it!!!

✞ Man's Justice Vs. God's Justice

A man kills three children. Man's justice demands that he be executed. But even if the man who killed the three children is put to death, one dies that killed three, is that justice? The three children cannot be restored to life with their family. Man's justice is incomplete. What we call justice is really injustice to the injured party.

Jesus suffered under this corrupt system of justice too. He was a sinless man who died on the cross and rose from the tomb to save the world from its sins and to provide us with eternal life.

His sacrifice brought redemption to humanity, but it cost Him His life. This is the injustice of the world. Innocent people aren't supposed to suffer for the wrongs of the guilty; but Jesus did.

However, when Jesus rose again from the dead, He conquered sin and death. He holds the power to make every wrong right - and He will do so when He returns.

If you will place your faith in the truth that Jesus died to pay for your sins and rose from the tomb to save you.......He will! Your have his world on it! Trust him now for what he did for you...you may not get a second chance!

Jesus was sent to the Jew's. Matthew 15:23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.

24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
BUT after they rejected Him and he went to the cross things changed.

2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

15 And that (he died for all,) that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

(16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: ( Before his death) yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.) (After His death)

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; (behold, all things are become new) (It has changed)

What did Peter and the others do? I have heard people say all the bible is for us Will what about this ? My bible tells us to sale all possessions? Acts 2:44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Why did they do this ???? It was BECAUSE Peter thought the Kingdom was at hand This was the first church Acts 2: 41 They were of one accord ( what church is of one accord today?) When All of Israel did not repent ( Acts 2:36 (Therefore let all) the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. because of there rejection God sent paul to the gentiles. One day the Kingdom will be here on earth. But it will not be, until the body of Christ is full, What Peter and the first church did it's not for us today.

*** Want to Go to Heaven?........................
The Bible declares, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23 KJV). Because of sin, none of us can pay the price to enter heaven. Regardless of how many “good” works we do, we are still sinners by birth, unable to merit God’s favor. We have come short of God’s righteous standards.

Thus, in order to enter heaven, we need God’s righteousness. The good news is that, through the finished crosswork of Jesus Christ on Calvary, we can be made “the righteousness of God in Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV). We can receive God’s righteousness as a free gift! We can receive eternal salvation from our sins!

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV).

“The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23 KJV).

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1 KJV).

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8 KJV).

“In whom [Christ] we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Ephesians 1:7 KJV).

“In whom [Christ] we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:14 KJV).

“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV).

“But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness” (Romans 4:5 KJV).

“What must I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:30,31 KJV).

Salvation = Faith + Nothing. It is free to you because Jesus Christ paid the price. Do you believe that? Have you fully trusted in that alone for salvation?

Jesus Christ (God manifested in human flesh), in His great love, grace, and mercy, paid the penalty for our sins. The Gospel of the Grace of God which saves lost mankind is: “Christ died for our sins, He was buried, and He rose again the third day” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV). The Lord Jesus Christ shed His sinless blood to forgive us our sins, but the Bible declares that anyone who rejects the Gospel of Grace will have to pay for his or her sins in the lake of fire for all eternity.

When you trust exclusively in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, Jesus Christ’s righteousness will be applied to you. Jesus Christ is perfect, so His righteousness imputed to us is our only means of getting into heaven. Will you trust in Christ Jesus alone as your personal Savior? I hope you will accept God’s offer today! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Turning from sins is a good thing but turning from your sins won't save you.

If you tell me you keep the law and are saved because you are just a little bit better than everyone else... I will tell you that you have a huge ego and are very deceived.

 Hear the Law!

Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Do you know anyone that has ever kept the law in light of the above words of Jesus Christ?

Remember, "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." James 2:10

"Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified." Galatians 2:16

That is why we need a Saviour. That Saviour is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Christ died for our sins and made it possible for us to be saved without any effort on our part. He went to the cross and took our sins upon Himself, died in our place was buried and rose again for our justification. 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4, Romans 4:25

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

If you add turning from sins, keeping the law, getting your act together, becoming a better person, cleaning yourself up, "making Jesus the Lord of your Life", going to church, tithing, Baptism, or any work whatsoever on your part to the salvation message, then you have polluted the Gospel of Christ.

Believe and trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ on Calvary's Cross on your behalf believing He died for your sins, was buried and rose again plus or minus nothing and you will be saved!

Good News! Salvation is a free gift from God!

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: ***it is the gift of God:***NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.

We cannot earn salvation. This is what we have earned.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death;...

but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Can you look back in faith and see that God's grace has saved you? Can you look forward in Hope and see GLORY awaiting you? Can you look at your life today and know Christ, the HOPE OF GLORY, lives within you (Colossians 1:27)? "The life which I NOW live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me" Galatians 2:20.

DANGER - ANOTHER GOSPEL!

The Apostle Paul warned in the *strongest possible terms* about the attitude of God toward those who would corrupt the gospel of Jesus Christ. We can understand this, as it cost God his only son Jesus a horrible death by crucifixion.

 Paul stated:
"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach *any other gospel* unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed [Damned]. (Galatians 1:8) [Emphasis added for clarity]

In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
 (Romans 2:16)

What is Paul's gospel? Let's investigate:

"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received [The gospel], how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" (1Cor. 15:3,4) [Emphasis added for clarity]

The above is the clearest statement on *the gospel* in the New Testament. It is not what we do for God, but rather what He, through Christ, has done for us. Our responsibility lies only in receiving it by faith.

If you want Jesus as your savior NOW, *believe he died for your sins and rose from the tomb to save you from the wrath of God and receive his love gift of eternal live.

 * “To believe” is to have the conviction that something is true that we rely-on or trust-in.

Are You Still Dead In Your Sins?

The answer can be seen more clearly if we discuss the matter in terms of life or death. That is, salvation is life, life is salvation. No salvation is death, and death is no salvation.

Spiritual life is the 'presence of God'-'within us'. Death is the 'absence of God'-'within us.

No one had eternal life but Jesus. So life is a Person - Jesus Christ. Jesus Said so himself:
"I am the way, the truth and *the life*" (John 14:6.) "He is *our life*" - (Col 3:4)

The Spirit of Christ indwelling inside of you is what gives you eternal life (Salvation). Christ crucifixion cleared the deck of sin from your account so that his *life* could be imparted. Salvation requires both forgiveness of sin AND impartation of the life of Christ by the indwelling presence of his Holy Spirit.

In prison they have a term "dead man walking." When someone is on death row awaiting execution and is being taken out to a hospital or out to a court appeal, the other prisoners holler "Dead man walking!" This is similar to someone who is spiritually dead and walking around living their life without Christ Spirit indwelling within them. Spiritually dead man walking, we could holler!

Forgiveness of sin *is* necessary, but it is NOT salvation in and of itself as you have so commonly heard, as important as it is. Sin had to be forgiven once and for all before life could be imparted. The Spirit of Christ in not going to co-inhabit with sin.

Look, Paul tell us this plainly: Rom. 6:23 "For the wages(Penalty) of sin is *death*; but the gift of God is eternal *life* through Jesus Christ our Lord." So we can see mans greatest need is God's gift to man, eternal life.

Would you like to become *spiritually alive* and spend eternity with Jesus in heaven when you die? Them you must trust Jesus will impart spiritual live unto you when you accept him as your savior by believing he died on the cross to pay your sin debt in full and rose from the dead to give you eternal life. And of course “to believe” is to have the conviction that something is true that we rely-on or trust-in. Best to do that now as we have no assurance of tomorrow!

✞ What Is The True Gospel?

The 'true gospel' is the 'good news' that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, through His love, power and mercy, provided the means of man’s redemption predicated on Jesus our savior's death, burial and resurrection to save us and offers it as a free gift to all who will 'believe in him' for it.

Because of man’s sinful nature he has no desire to come to God and, in fact, his mind is hostile toward God (Romans 8:7). God has declared that man’s sin dooms him to an eternity separated from God. It is in hell that man pays the penalty of sin against a holy and righteous God. This would be bad news indeed if there were no remedy.

The word “gospel” literally means “good news.” But to truly comprehend how good this news is, we must first understand the bad news. As a result of the fall of man in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:6), every part of man—his mind, will, emotions and flesh—have been corrupted by sin. Because of man’s sinful nature, he does not and cannot seek God. He has no desire to come to God and, in fact, his mind is hostile toward God (Romans 8:7).

But in the gospel, God, in His mercy, has provided the remedy for us, a 'substitute' for us—Jesus Christ—who came to pay the penalty for our sins by His sacrifice on the cross. This is an important part of the gospel which Paul preached to the Corinthians. In 1 Corinthians 15:2-4, he explains the three elements of the gospel—the death, burial and resurrection of Christ on our behalf. Our old nature died with Christ on the cross and was buried with Him. Then we were resurrected with Him to a new life (Romans 6:4-8). Paul tells us to “hold firmly” to this *true gospel*, the only one which saves. Believing in any other gospel is to believe in vain!!! (No salvation!)

Would you like to accept Jesus as your savior by believing he died for YOUR sins, was buried and rose from the dead to save YOU? And of course “to believe” is to have the conviction that something is true that we rely-on or trust-in. Please do it now!

Many of you have had a religious experience: walking the isle, kneeling at the alter, getting water baptized, you've asked for forgiveness of your sins, you've confessed your sins, repented and turned from your sins so you don't get burned from your sins, you've asked Jesus into your heart, turned over a new leaf or 2 or 3 or perhaps the whole tree, and after all this, if you were to die, you would die unsaved. Why? because you hadn't trusted Christ as your Saviour based on HIS work when he died and paid for your sins.

Won't you trust Christ as your Saviour? He died for your sins. Your sins were laid to his charge and he died for them, and he arose 3 days later proving that your sins were paid for. Won't you trust Him as your Saviour?
